
Conservation Scientists
Job Description:
Two full-time permanent positions now exist to work across all six of the Centre’s programmes to increase the scientific credibility, impact and profile of the UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre’s work.
Key duties will include advising on and implementing robust analytical and statistical methodologies to underpin project outputs and ensure that programmes and projects maintain a high level of scientific rigor; perform meta-analyses and spatial analyses; review biodiversity models and advise on future development of such models and scenarios; provide support and contribute to the implementation of a programme of innovative scientific research directly relevant to the Centre’s mission and mandates; as well as conducting science-based and policy-driven projects.
This enthusiastic, experienced self-starter will also be able to work autonomously as well as work within a team environment.
The salary is negotiable within the Centre’s existing bands.
