
Waste Reduction Officer
Job Description:
We have a proven track record in recycling performance, but this is not enough!
This is an opportunity to work with the Council to identify efficiency savings by improving sustainable waste management practices.
You will develop and implement waste minimisation, re-use and recycling initiatives. These will include reducing waste arising from construction projects, offices, schools and other premises. You will develop both new and existing projects within the organisation and with our partners and suppliers.
With a relevant degree or equivalent experience in an environmental field you will also have:
- experience of implementing waste management programmes
- experience of working with suppliers to reduce waste in the supply
chain
- the ability to manage numerous projects within tight timescales
- excellent communication skills
- a high level of creativity.
